Primal Troy

Hi! I’m Troy (Primal Troy) Young. My part of the Primal Aspects family enterprise is technical stuff like keeping the website maintained and handling internet marketing for ourselves and a few of our clients. I can offer you web hosting for $5 per month or $50 per year, domain registration for $15 per year and various other internet marketing services that we would have to sit down and discuss further if you’re interested. Also at events I play the role of professional Pack Mule by way of loading and unloading a bunch of stuff, setting it up, packing it away afterwards etc. In my spare time  I like to crank out some new and interesting homestead goods working with woods, metals and things I happen to find here and there. I sometimes create unique decor like signs, works of art, shelves, planters, birdhouses, display cases, etc. I also enjoy useful, self sufficiency items such as solar ovens, solar food dehydrators and solar heaters. Whether you are looking for something for home or to use in your small business we might be able to custom build something just for you!

When I am not working for Primal Aspects I also work as a Journeyman Electrician having worked for American Airlines in Facilities Services and Maintenance since 1989. In my time there I have worked at DFW Airport, Headquarters and the AFW Maintenance base. I know a lot of great electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, millrights, electronic technicians, carpenters, painters and automotive mechanics so if you need any recommendations I might be able to put you in touch with someone who can help you. Give me a shout!

Awhile back I started making custom frames for Emily’s paintings and woodburned (pyrographic) signs using reclaimed wood and materials as much as possible while utilizing some pyrography techniques to give them their own look and feel. The idea with reclaimed materials is twofold. 1.) It’s the environmentally responsible and self sufficient thing to do and 2.) It’s the low cost thing to do and we will be able to pass those lower costs on to our customers. Our family goal is strive for a more sustainable, self reliant lifestyle in harmony with nature and using the earth’s resources responsibly so we can leave a better world to our kids, grand kids and future generations. We want to be able to make home goods that are useful to people, that folks enjoy having in their lives, and that reflect our Primal nature and Bohemian lifestyle.

We do custom pyrography and sign making. Have a business you would like some signs made up for? Give us a shout and let’s talk!

All of our items are unique and individually handmade but they have one thing in common, where ever possible the materials used are recycled or come from local sustainable sources.

I am a prepper and regular listener to Jack Spirko’s show The Survival Podcast for the no nonsense info on topics such as homesteading, permaculture, economic survival, food storage etc. I have learned a lot listening to his show and participating on the forums there and highly recommend you check it out too! You may not agree with Jack on 100% of what he says (but who ever agrees on everything right?) but his advice on modern survivalism is always well worth the listen.
