The other day Em’ received a phone call from a man named Bryan Malatesta who is starting a store in Cleburne, Texas and apparently a 24 hour per day, 7 day a week shopping channel which will be featuring only products made by American citizens and made in the United States. It will be called the Made In America store and will be a 2000 square foot shop in downtown Cleburne. Not only does he want to have Em’ add some of her artwork to the store at a reasonable consignment rate but he is looking for other artists, crafters, musicians and anyone else who makes things to also participate in this new store and shopping channel. I thought this was an interesting concept and one that catches on because as anyone who knows us knows, we’re all about shopping local and supporting local economies here.
