….and Do You Have It?
It has been said that democracy is two wolves and a lamb deciding what to have for dinner but in a republic the lamb has a rifle and that they would all discuss what is dinner and it wasn’t going to be lamb. There is something to be said for that analogy for sure. In a pure democracy you have mob rule and if 51% of the population decides it wants to deprive the other 49% of one liberty or another they could do so.
