Spinfest

SpinFest is a free, open event hosted by Creative Motion on the third Saturday of each month to explore circus skills with the public.

Come and play! You can learn to juggle, hula hoop, or spin poi, staves, or flags. Come share your skills or learn new ones. Teach your body and brain to do new things. It’s a great opportunity to get out, move, and create with friendly people.

Spinfest is held from 3PM to 7PM at Heights Park in Richardson, Texas.

Artisan Baking Company in Fort Worth is having a Baking 101 Hands On Workshop this Saturday and a Brunch Treats Hands On Cooking Class this Sunday.

Focusing on good technique, this class covers measuring and the three major mixing methods for sweet and savory baking. This is the class to take if you’re just getting started in baking, want a refresher course in the basics, or simply want to improve your overall baking skills. Includes a discussion on ingredients, including leavening agents for quick breads. Students will practice their skills by making muffins, biscuits and cookies. $60. Our small, hands-on classes are taught by state-certificate culinary instructor and emphasize techniques and skills. Students learn a lot, but we also have fun! Students take home samples, notes and recipes. Students must be 18 and older. Custom and private classes are available.
